Series Point Of Reference Part 1
- Psalm 8 verses 3&4 3:“When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
- 4: What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?” Psalm 8:3-4 KJV
- When I look at everything you created on earth 🌏 when you think about everything God made what is man ? How awesome God is that he takes the time to be mindful of us.
- God made man to have dominion on earth ! God created so much on earth and he took the time to make me in the image !
- A Point Of Reference = is used to judge and understand something else ! When you on a journey you tend to get car sick fix your equilibrium by looking out the window at fixed position Our society doesn’t have a point of reference of what is truth.
- Proverbs 29:18 ! “Where there is no vision, the people perish: But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Proverbs 29:18 KJV The discipline in staying true to the truth ! Once you see the light of your vision consistent to the daily vision !
- Gospel of Luke 9 Verse 62 “And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 KJV If you are headed towards the kingdom of God but you steadily looking back you are not fit for the kingdom of God Our point of reference should be Jesus! How would Jesus act in this moment! You can’t go anywhere forward looking back! To operate a vehicle in excellence you need to look forward. Jesus said it’s time I go to Jerusalem “And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,” Luke 9:51 KJV
- Compare verse 51 to 62 He came to this world to die for our sins ! He knew we came with assignment. Don’t waver ! What is your assignment and never waver ! People have No vision to their plan ! Where are we going ! What is your compass ! I know what God called me to do ! I can’t waste time on other objectives! You may be given 1,000 side missions but what’s the main mission! What season are you in ? In your life ?
- “and sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.” Luke 9:52 KJV “And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.” Luke 9:53 KJV They didn’t even waste time with Jesus because they saw it in his face without him speaking that he was set for Jerusalem ! Stop wasting time with side missions and people who don’t matter ! Focus on where you are going !
- Abraham said God I don’t have children he said look up at the stars ! Change your point of reference! You think you are of lack when you’re eyeing the wrong point of reference. Do you believe when you pray ? Expand your point of reference ! It’s bigger than you can ever imagined!
- Stop listening to LOSERS ! YOU WANT TO START A BUSINESS BUT PEOPLE SAYING NOOO DONT DO THAT MY COUSIN TRIED THAT AND HE FAILED ! I AINT YOUR COUSIN I SAW THE VISION GOD HAD FOR ME ! CHANGE YOUR POINT OF REFERENCE
- When Jesus went through the town of Samaritan they ain’t even bother he wasn’t even focused on that ! I don’t have time for anything but the vision God has for me ! I have a point of reference and you not it !
- How Can You Use Today’s Bible Study To Impact Your Life. Find your point of reference and never waver ! Focus this week on one main goal and never waver ! Sit and talk with God on a goal you will accomplish this week !
